Second Committee Week for legislature begins today

Don't leave yourself in the dark regarding what is being discussed, advanced or shelved this week. Schedules, meeting packets, speakers appearing before the committees and an archived audio are all just a click away.

  • The meeting schedule for the Florida House can be found on the House homepage.

  • A complete list of all the Florida House committees can be found here.

  • Click on the committee name. This will show you the names and photographs of all committee members. Here is an example using the Judiciary Committee.

  • On the right side of the page there is a list of information options.

The meeting packet information is basically a discussion agenda for that

particular meeting. Each link in this sidebar tab contains useful information.

Florida Senate committees can be found here at the Florida Senate website.

The Senate graphics differ from the House. When you click on a Senate committee by name the page will appear as in the photo shown below.

  • The committee week schedule can be found here on the calendar page.

  • You have to click on each committee member's name to see more information about them.

  • The schedule and meeting packet information is at the bottom of the page.

Committee weeks lay the foundation for the formal legislative session. They the actual start of the session despite what is on the formal calendar. Make your voice heard now. Waiting for the "official" start of the session may be too late.
